Structural Heart Team implants the first two EVOQUE
tricuspids transcatheter valve replacements.
Our Structural Heart Team led by cardiologists
Jeffrey Tyler, M.D.,
Brian Kolski, M.D., and
Aiden Raney, M.D., successfully implanted the first two EVOQUE tricuspid transcatheter valve
replacements at Providence St. Joseph Hospital – the first procedure
of its kind in the South Division.
Previously, patients with significant heart failure had no treatment options.
The EVOQUE tricuspid valve replacement system is the first transcatheter
therapy to receive U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for
the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation (TR). The EVOQUE system is able
to replace the native tricuspid valve, virtually eliminating tricuspid
regurgitation in a wide range of patients. Significant improvements are
reported by patients, including not feeling short of breath, being able
to care for themselves and improved quality of life.
Please join us in recognizing Dr. Tyler and our award-winning Heart &
Vascular team for once again leading the charge in cardiovascular health
in Orange County.
