    Biography
    Elizabeth Cedars, MD, practices the full breadth of otolaryngology — head and neck surgery, with particular interest in voice and swallowing disorders, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, nasal and sinus disease, thyroid surgery, and sleep surgery. Additionally, she has an interest in the study of patient safety and improvement in quality of care, incorporating these areas into her practice.

    Originally from the Bay Area, Dr. Cedars attended Columbia University (New York) for her undergraduate education, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences and philosophy. After graduation, she worked for two years at Rockefeller University (New York) studying neurobiology before she began medical school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She then completed her internship and residency in otolaryngology — head and neck surgery at UCSF.

    She and her husband, an artist and writer, have two young sons and enjoy cooking, hiking and exploring the Northern California region.     Read More
