I love Family Practice, not only because it allows me to build a rapport with my patients over many years, but because it allows me to focus on the whole patient, physically, emotionally and mentally. Some of the babies I treated are now adults, and being able to continue to care for them and their families is what makes Family Practice so unique. I am very accessible to my patients. For instance, I don't have an answering service: on evenings and weekends it's easier for my patients to speak directly to me and I can often give them the advice they need over the phone.
With all my patients, my focus is on prevention, because it's not enough to treat the illness or disease, it's about helping them live long, healthy lives.
