Chrystene Nguyen, M.D., M.P.H.
Diplomate, American Board of Family Medicine
An Orange County native, Dr. Nguyen has seven siblings and has always had high regard for family. It is no surprise that when she chose her profession, she decided to pursue family medicine as it provides her the ability to treat patients of all ages, care for multiple generations of the same family, and provide life-long support.
Dr. Nguyen is a passionate and dedicated physician who enjoys collaborating with her patients as a team. She believes that it is essential to work with her patients to understand their goals, learn what is important to them, and gain their input in order to create a health plan that is attainable and realistic. As she states, “I enjoy building relationships with my patients and having a positive impact in their lives. While I focus on the science behind the medicine, it’s also important to me to consider the art of medicine and finding what works for each individual patient.”
She attended medical school at University of California, Davis and completed her residency at Long Beach Memorial. During her residency, she founded In Charge and Fit Teen, the residency family medicine clinic weight management support groups and received a grant she wrote to fund the program. Additionally, she has a special interest in skin health and worked with a dermatologist in Newport Beach for two years while also practicing family medicine.
A strong believer in leading a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Nguyen enjoys practicing aerial arts, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in Vietnamese and accepting new patients.
