    Dr. Paulson was the best provider we have had experience with at Providence. She was kind and had a good bed side manor but also was very matter of fact and didn't sugar coat anything. She was easy to talk to and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. The staff in the ENT office were all kind and efficient.The staff at the hospital same day surgery were also very kind, efficient and made the experience not so scary.
    Dr. Paulson is an amazing doctor. I am always relieved when I get to see her over [Name(s)] primary at open door when it comes to ear nose and throat issues.

    Biography
    Dr. Lorien Paulson is a board-certified Otolaryngologist/Head and Neck Surgeon with additional pediatric subspecialty fellowship training and has been in practice for 10 years. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, with a particular interest in chronic sinus disease, and congenital and acquired head and neck masses. After completing her undergraduate degree at MIT (originally intending to pursue a career in molecular biology) she decided to change her plans to medicine! She attended University of California, San Diego for her Doctorate degree, followed by a five-year Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery Residency at Oregon Health Science University, followed by a one-year fellowship at the University of North Carolina. In her free time, Dr. Paulson enjoys foraging and cooking with the bountiful ingredients of Humboldt County, as well as travelling, painting, and hiking. Read More
