Dr. Kim Tran is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. After graduating from University of California, Irvine in 2011, she went on to complete medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA and residency training at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY, where she served as the Wellness Chief in her senior year. She also holds a Masters in Health Service Administration from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After training and working out of state for over a decade, Dr. Tran is back in Southern California, serving the community in which she grew up.
Dr. Tran’s areas of expertise and clinical areas of interest focus on comprehensive and preventative care for adolescent to geriatric patients, including guideline-based cancer screening and management of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive respiratory conditions, hypothyroidism, anxiety, and depression. Her philosophy is that an informed, collaborative relationship between patients and their physician is the key to effective medical management. She strives to nourish an environment where patients understand their medical conditions and feel comfortable asking questions.
In her free time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new cities and countries. She is a fervent gastronome, novice gardener, and passionate volleyball enthusiast. Dr. Tran is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
