Dr. Shamail Tariq is a triple board-certified Interventional Cardiologist. He has been in practice since finishing training in 2015 at Harvard. He completed medical school at UMKC’s Accelerated Medical program before finishing Residency at the renowned UT-Southwestern, working with Nobel Laureates in the field of Medicine and Cardiology. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at UC Irvine, where he was unanimously chosen as Fellow of the Year, Chief Fellow, He also completed MBA his Healthcare from the top 10 Paul Merage Business School at UC Irvine in healthcare innovation and reform. He was chosen to train overseas with internationally acclaimed Dr. Antonio Colombo in Milan, Italy, where he performed innovative and cutting edge medical procedures. He went to Harvard Medical School - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he taught and trained in Interventional Cardiology - excelling in Complex Coronary Interventions, Peripheral and Structural Interventions, as well as Shock and Circulatory Support.
Dr. Tariq has practiced with his father in his hometown of St. Louis since completing training and has provided comprehensive Cardiac care to patients he treats like his own family.
Dr. Tariq’s areas of expertise and clinical areas includes Preventative Cardiology, Blood Pressure and Cholesterol management, as well as Coronary and Peripheral Interventions, both outpatient and inpatient.
