Dr. Yan treats a multitude of foot and ankle pathologies including foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, diabetic foot care, wound care, biomechanics, orthotic management and pediatric foot pathologies. Dr. Yan’s treatment philosophy is to start conservatively and implement surgery only when necessary.
She believes that education is important and spends time explaining pathology and treatment options to her patients. Dr. Yan believes in working as a team with her patients to alleviate their pain and to promote foot and ankle heath. She understands that patients have circumstances that can impede healing and works with her patients to devise individualized treatment plans. Being a female and avid lover of shoes, Dr. Yan has knowledge of shoe designs and has shoe recommendations for specific foot types and foot conditions.
In her spare time, Dr. Yan enjoys yoga, weightlifting, baking, traveling, trying local restaurants and spending quality time with her family.
