    Biography
    Dr. Yang is an optometrist with over 30 years of experience. A 1990 graduate of Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Yang received the Silhouette Award in Clinical Geriatrics, the Allergan Optical Contact Lens award and a Beta Sigma Kappa Research Grant.

    Dr. Yang has had specialty training in Low Vision at the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, in Vision Therapy at Juvenile Hall in San Bernardino, Ocular Pathology at the Veteran’s Administration Outpatient Clinic in Las Vegas and Contact Lenses at the Allergan Research Clinic in Irvine. Dr. Yang is also a member of the Optometric Retina Society, the Optometric Glaucoma Society and is certified in: Paragon CRT, Contex OK, Bausch & Lomb VST, Focus Night and Day, ZenLens Scleral, Zen RC and Zen Multifocal.

    His areas of interest include hard to fit contact lenses, keratoconus, customized glasses and diabetes.

    In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Yang is an examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO). He also is an associate professor for Western University, College of Optometry. Finally, he volunteers his time as an Executive Board Member of the Canyon High School Education Foundation.

    Dr. Yang has a unique eye history that gives him a unique perspective to patient care. He was extremely nearsighted with a fair amount of astigmatism, has dry eyes, chronic allergic conjunctivitis, had cataracts with surgery in both eyes and glaucoma.
