Radiology & Imaging Services at Providence Medical Group
At Providence Medical Group, we offer quality diagnostic imaging
for patients of all ages, in all stages and variations of health and disease.
These tests allow radiologists and doctors to make comprehensive evaluations,
and diagnose, plan and monitor treatments. We also work to reduce and
monitor radiation doses for all patients, and are accredited for our radiology services.
There are two types of radiology: diagnostic and interventional radiology.
- Diagnostic radiology is used to diagnose the cause of your symptoms, monitor
how your body is responding to treatments and screen for illnesses such
as breast and colon cancer or heart disease.
- Interventional radiology uses imaging such as CT, ultrasound, MRI and fluoroscopy
to help guide procedures. This is often used when inserting catheters,
wires, and other small instruments and tools into your body.
