Robotic Surgery

There has been a new breakthrough in surgical technology called Robotics. It is a new category of minimally invasive surgery that is an alternative to open surgery and laparoscopy. This results in shorter recovery times, reduced hospitalization, less blood loss and fewer complications.

Robotic surgery because of it’s three dimensional approach provides our physicians with greater surgical precision, increased range of motion, improved dexterity, enhanced visualization and improved access. The system replicates the surgeon’s movements in real time. These features are most important in complex procedures.

At Mission Ob/Gyn some of our physicians are certified and trained to use the robot assisted Da Vinci Surgical system for complex hysterectomies and other gynecological procedures.
