First OB Visit

Congratulations, you are at the beginning of a wonderful journey! You will meet with your physician who will perform a physical exam, laboratory evaluation and review your medical and family history, and make recommendations to guide you through your pregnancy.

STANDARD TESTS INCLUDE

• Complete Blood Count to check for anemia
• Blood Type and RH
• Rubella Titer
• Infectious Disease Testing- Hepatitis B, Syphilis, HIV and urine infections. Other tests include Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Chickenpox and Toxoplasmosis.
• Optional Tests: Cystic Fibrosis, Thyroid Testing, Tay Sachs, Fragile X, Vitamin D Level, Sickle Prep
• Pap Smear

ULTRASOUND

You will have an OB ultrasound at your first visit to help establish a due date and to confirm viability. You will see the baby`s heart beat and get your first baby picture!
