Meet Michael James Glamore, MD
Dr. Glamore grew up on Florida’s space coast before completing his
undergraduate education at Cornell University in Biological Engineering.
He then went on scholarship to Florida International University for his
medical degree in Miami where he graduated first in his class and passed
the medical boards at the 99th percentile
After watching his father’s struggles with prostate cancer Dr. Glamore
decided to pursue the study of urologic surgery at the renowned Washington
University in St. Louis. There he completed his surgical training focusing
on robotic and minimally invasive treatments for pathology of the kidneys,
ureters, bladder, prostate, penis and testicles. He spent a year as Chief
Resident honing his skills and teaching junior residents before taking
his written boards in urologic surgery and passing with the highest marks.
Dr. Glamore now lives in Santa Rosa with his wife Elizabeth and their two
daughters. Dr. Glamore takes great pleasure in treating patients with
stone disease as a sufferer of the illness himself. In addition to stone
disease he commonly treats renal tumors, bladder cancer, enlarged prostates,
prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. He utilizes the most recent technologic
innovations including the Greenlight Photovaporization Laser, da Vinci
Robotic Surgery platform, and UroLift devices. While technology is helpful,
he believes nothing replaces listening to the patient, understanding their
goals and figuring out how his skills can help get them there.
