Dr. Chiang worked as an engineer before realizing that medicine, and specifically pediatrics, was her true calling. She attended UCSD for medical school and completed her residency at Harbor-UCLA in 1999.
"I love working with children. I believe that each child is unique and should be treated as such by parents and pediatrician alike. In order to promote the growth and development of happy, healthy children, it is also important to support and educate their parents. One of my biggest roles, therefore, is as a resource and guide for parents as their children make the journey from infancy through childhood and into adolescence."
Dr. Chiang's outside interests include tennis, volleyball, reading, and writing, but what she enjoys most is spending time with her husband, Rob, and their children, Ryan, Daniel, Noah and Aaron.
