    I was so impressed. Very thorough, extremely intelligent, courteous, knowledgeable and I'm anxious to get to the bottom of my abnormal blood work. It was a relief to be seen and I was treated so respectfully.
    My new rheumatologist was professional, personable and took the time to answer questions.
    Samantha has always taken the time to give me her undivided attention. I feel a lot of doctors DON'T listen to patient like they should. I.E. I suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis for 3 years because my doctor said my blood work came back false positive and she thought I didn't have It. Later I learned she never ordered both blood tests needed to diagnose It. So after suffering for 3 years with both Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid. My markers were so high the nurse practitioner Mallory Mulkins personally called Dr. Whisler to get me seen ASAP . I miss Mallory she Is FANTASTIC and through!

    Biography
    Samantha Hughes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She attended California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, CA where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Following her undergraduate studies, Samantha then pursued her interest in nursing, graduating from University of Alabama-Birmingham. While working as a critical care nurse in a surgical/neuro/trauma ICU, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Medicine from University of Alabama-Birmingham in 2020. Samantha then went on to complete an 18-month Family Medicine Residency at Santa Rosa Community Health Clinic, Santa Rosa in 2022. It is here where she developed a passion for Rheumatology. Samantha is originally from the Central Coast but has made Northern California her home. When Samantha isn’t at work, you can find her at home with her guitar typically singing songs by her favorite artists such as Hank Williams and Marty Robbins. Read More
