Dr. Bowen Jiang is the Director of the Providence St. Jude Neuroscience Institute and a board-certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon and spine surgeon. He attended college and medical school at Stanford University. He then completed his neurosurgery residency and complex spine fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. While at Hopkins, Dr. Jiang was awarded the Frank Coulson Jr. Distinction for Clinical Excellence and the Walter Dandy Award for Excellence in Neurosurgery.
Dr. Jiang is an expert in minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery and serves as the Site Director for the only dedicated ExcelsiusGPS robotic spine training center in California. Dr. Jiang’s clinical practice also includes complex spinal reconstruction, spinal tumors, neuro-trauma, surgery for trigeminal neuralgia and Chiari malformation, and brain tumors.
Dr. Jiang has published over one hundred peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters, most of which are in the field of robotic spine surgery. He has worked as a medical advisor for several start-ups in medical device innovation. Dr. Jiang is passionate about serving the community in Orange County and is available for consultation at both St. Jude Medical Center (Fullerton) and St. Joseph Hospital of Orange.
