Dr. Kline graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and obtained his medical degree cum laude from Yale University School of Medicine. He received his training in ophthalmology at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kline has published many peer-reviewed articles and has given numerous presentations at ophthalmology meetings nationwide.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the California Medical Association, the Orange County Medical Association, and serves on the executive board of the Orange County Society of Ophthalmology. He is on the medical staff of Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital located in Newport Beach, California.
Dr. Kline was recently honored by Los Angeles magazine as one of the Super Doctors® 2013, 2014, 2015 Southern California Rising Stars. He is a recipient of The Patients' Choice Award in 2009, 2010 and 2012 and has received The Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award in 2011 and 2012.
Dr. Kline’s field of expertise includes cataract surgery using the newest techniques and lens implants, including advanced-technology intraocular lenses for the correction of near and distance vision and astigmatism. He provides free educational seminars and screenings for refractive surgery, and performs many refractive procedures, including LASIK using the latest bladeless techniques. Dr. Kline provides medical eye examinations for both health maintenance and disease conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. In addition, he offers contact lens fitting and spectacle prescription services. He is also trained in functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery including Botox®.
