    Biography
    Dr. Tigran Karamanukyan (known as Dr. Tigran) is an experienced vascular and general surgeon, who is also certified in hyperbaric treatments, wound care, and TCAR, a minimally invasive procedure that opens a narrowed carotid artery. Dr. Tigran was born and raised in southern California, and is fluent in English and Armenian. He loves the important role vascular surgeons play in improving a patient’s health and longevity. The ability to positively impact a patient’s quality of life at a time when it is desperately needed, and the technical aspects of the operations performed are what drew Dr. Tigran to vascular surgery. He has been highly influenced by his grandmother, the daughter of genocide survivors. The physician considers her, without a doubt, to be his role model. ‘She made two major moves in her life across continents and managed to raise six kids in the meantime. She’s the true definition of a survivor in every way.’ The three qualities that Dr. Tigran highly values in a person are kindness, generosity, and intellectual curiosity.
