Dr. Kylstra was born and raised in a small town in South Carolina, “the peach capital”. Her father was the surgeon in town, and her mother worked in the lab at the hospital.
Both her parents are from Holland. Dr. Kylstra learned to speak Dutch at an early age and is thus fluent in the language.
Dr. Kylstra attended college at UC San Diego and followed this with medical school at the University of Cincinnati. Her residency was completed at Long Beach Memorial. She chose family medicine because she enjoys treating newborns, to great grandparents, and getting to know the entire family. Her primary focus is preventative health and goal is to develop a sense of teamwork with her patients.
Married with two children, Dr. Kylstra moved to Sonoma County in 2013.
She enjoys gardening, though a beginner, hiking and spending time with her family.
