Andrea S. Pribac is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the Adult and Geriatric population. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at UCI in 2010 and continued on to complete her Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University in 2015. She initially worked at Hoag Hospital as a nurse in the telemetry, Sub ICU and ICU departments. As a nurse practitioner she worked at Hoag Hospital as well as Cedars-Sinai Medical center in the specialty of Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery since 2016. She has also completed an RN First Assistant course in 2016 at UCLA which allows her to assist her supervising physicians in the operating room for open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Andrea's areas of expertise includes all aspects of Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. She takes a particular interest in acute necrotizing pancreatitis and the interdisciplinary management of this condition in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She also specializes in caring for the surgical population before and after pancreatectomy and hepatectomy, focusing on education to help decrease length of stay and optimize patient recovery in the pre and post operative patient. Her philosophy of care is to partner with her supervising physician to effectively extend the complex and intricate care provided for their specialized patient population. By doing so, patients are taken care of in a timely, effective and individualized manner to ensure best outcomes.
