Dr. Jonathan Tsao earned his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Missouri in 1995. (now known as A.T. Still University) which is a founding school of Osteopathic Medicine with a holistic approach to medicine. He completed his Family Practice internship/residency training at Pacific Hospital/Long Beach Memorial Hospital and has been Board Certified In Family Medicine since 1998.
He served as a Staff Physician at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and an associate teaching faculty in both EM and PA fellowship programs for 20 years before he joined community practice at Saddleback Family Urgent Care under Vituity in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo in 2017.
He has a specific passion for ambulatory care and urgent care practice. He finds it extremely gratifying and views it as a privilege to serve his local community. He believes providing geographic convenience and availabilities for non-emergent medical care, in timely effective visits are rewarding. Not only does it help decompress our crowded ED for life-threatening event services. It expands our healthcare avenue, significantly reduces cost, and is especially beneficial to our rising and aging population in South Orange County.
"It is not what we are capable of doing, it is what we can provide to patients in desperate need situations that are more important. I enjoyed the hands-on treatment of diverse medical problems. My philosophy is to provide an attentive personal experience, good communication, and delivering highest quality of health care throughout the treatment and recovery processes. Emphasizing patient education provides a clear perspective to better understand healthcare system utilization between primary care, urgent care, and ER."
