Heart and Vascular Center at St. Mary Medical Center, Apple Valley
At St. Mary Medical Center, we offer complete cardiovascular care, including
full-service diagnostic and treatment programs, a cardiac catheterization
lab, open-heart and vascular surgery and cardiac rehabilitation phases
I, II and III. Some of the finest cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons
of Southern California who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment
and rehabilitation of heart and vascular disease guide these services.
Essential to all cardiac care is to help our patients make healthier choices
before, during and after treatment.
St. Mary is a designated Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving
Center as deemed by San Bernardino County and the Inland Counties Emergency
Medical Agency. STEMI stands for ST elevation myocardial infarction. Heart
attacks are often caused by clots in one or more of the patient’s
coronary arteries. Studies show that for best results, patients must receive
treatment in 90 minutes or less. To meet the need for timely care, San
Bernardino County has designated STEMI centers. These centers must have
the protocols, technology and staff to show they consistently meet the
90-minute care time.
