Providence in Northern California has an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon to lead and grow a well-supported cardiac
surgery program. This position is located in the midst of California’s
wine country, in a location that has the ability to capture cardiac cases
in Santa Rosa, Napa and surrounding communities. This position will work
to develop and grow the Providence Northern California Cardiac Surgery
service line which spans the entire North Bay region to the Oregon border.
This position will receive outstanding general, interventional, and electrophysiology
cardiology support, with a vibrant, aligned, and well-respected local
cardiology practice that is eager to send a steady stream of cases to
keep a cardiovascular surgeon busy. This position has the additional opportunity
to build a thoracic aortic and surgery program in partnership with other
Northern California Providence hospitals.

Memorial Hospital (SRMH) and Queen of the Valley Medical Center (QVMC)
cardiac surgery service line development
- Northern California regional leadership role with an active surgical practice
at SRMH, QVMC, or both at least 5 years’ experience required, with
skills in complex revascularization, mitral valve repair, aortic surgery,
thoracic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic techniques
- Expertise in vascular surgery is a plus
- Must be a great collaborator and team builder
- Dedicated OR team and strong cardiac anesthesia and ICU support
- Competitive compensation with a 2-year salary guarantee, comprehensive

- Compensation is between $753,125 and $828,125 per year
The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and
may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance,
hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of
cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, a CME allowance
and other benefits offered by the medical group. Please note that this
salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to
variation due to the factors noted above.
